Davi Ottenheimer, EMC Senior Director of Trust, has more than nineteen years' experience managing global security operations and assessments, including a decade of leading incident response and digital forensics. He is co-author of the book "Securing the Virtual Environment: How to Defend the Enterprise Against Attack," published in May 2012 by Wiley. He formerly was responsible for security at Barclays Global Investors (BGI), the world's largest investment fund manager. Prior to BGI he was a "dedicated paranoid" at Yahoo! and responsible for managing security for hundreds of millions of mobile, broadband and digital home products. Davi received his postgraduate academic Master of Science degree in International History from the London School of Economics.
Usually, it is the task of the system administrator in the organization to make its network stable and reliable. His effective operation requires him to know all the information on network: number of hosts, where they are situated, quality of connections between them, their operation, and many other aspects. If he does not know every small detail of the company's network, if he does not have the whole picture in front of his eyes when problems arise, he might fight the symptoms of the problems and not the problems themselves.

No problem found during The Medical Check up, I performed. The Medical Check up included wearing an Holter Monitor recording my heart activity for 24 hours. The Holter was a Wearable computing device, however nobody used the word Wearable. If we exclude the enhanced computing power of current Wearables in comparison to the old Holter monitor, we can find two factor differentiating current Wearables from the Holter Monitor.
The security devil is always in the details of the attack: the ones you've endured, the ones you prepare yourself to fend off, and the ones that, you fear, will catch you completely unaware and defenseless. The Internet of Things (IoT) is nothing if not an endless proliferation of details. It's the vision of a world in which continuous Internet connectivity and addressability is embedded into a growing range of human artifacts, into the natural world, and even into our smartphones, appliances, and physical persons. In the IoT vision, every new "thing" - sensor, actuator, data source, data consumer, routing intermediary, etc., is a new security-relevant detail that stirs up a wide range of collateral security issues. In other words, every new networked IoT endpoint is a new potential attack vector or launching point that the baddies can exploit. Potentially, every time you plug in a new IoT-networked device that is infected with malware or simply open to unauthorized third-party exploitation, the vulnerabilities start. Someone somewhere might exploit the new access point to gain illicit access to sensitive secrets (business, consumer, government, etc.), to damage software and data, and to wage distributed denial of service attacks.

VASCO Data Security International, Inc., announced on Wednesday that The Bank of Tokyo-Mitsubishi UFJ, Ltd. (BTMU) has implemented VASCO's two-factor authentication solutions to protect retail banking customers accessing the bank's online banking services. DIGIPASS for Mobile for smartphones will be deployed as a one-time password (OTP) service to secure the bank's "Tokyo-Mitsubishi UFJ Direct" retail banking service. VASCO's VACMAN Controller, a large-scale authentication platform, will provide the verification engine for high volume authentication requests. DIGIPASS authenticators are being offered to customers free of charge.

Onalytica analyzed the online debate on M2M by looking at over 85,000 tweets to provide the most influential individuals and brands that drive the discussion. According to Onalytica the "analysis showed a very engaged community with a lot of interactive tweets. The M2M discussion seems to be more fragmented and driven by some of the major brands present in the M2M space. This really allows some room for influential individuals to create more high value interactions amongst community members."
