NComputing announced that its products were chosen to supply a computer education program by the Andhra Pradesh state government and partially funded by the Central government. When I went to his website, to my surprise I found out that he had canceled his show. According to the vmblog: "Evidently, it is being canceled because of low registration and a tough macro-economic climate. And it's a shame too, because the event was being backed by a number of big names in the industry, with nearly 30 sponsors willing to pony up to help support the show. That's a clear sign that the vendor community is ready for an independent virtualization event, and after listening to the folks on the show room floor at VMworld, attendees are ready for something new and different as well."
AdMob, the world's largest mobile advertising marketplace, today demonstrated the explosive growth in advertising on the iPhone by announcing the company served more than 35 million ads on this popular device in August. The first Android phone, known as the Dream and built by HTC, is reportedly supposed to hit the crowded mobile market probably in a month after being announced Tuesday, September 23 by T-Mobile USA, the Deutsche Telekom arm. The price will reportedly be $199 with a two-year contract. The Wall Street Journal says HTC expects to ship 600k-700k units.
