Opinion: Always remember who you work for

Your players are fickle, impatient and your ultimate boss, and you have to keep them happy, says PopCap's Giordano Contestabile.

If you work in the videogame industry, your goal should be to entertain and delight as many people as possible, and everything you do should be measured against it. The logical consequence of this is that players are the constituency you should really care about: everything you do should be aimed at making them happy, as they can make your life really difficult if they decide that they’re not being catered to properly, and reward you handsomely if they are satisfied.

Monsters Ate My Condo review

Flick Kick Football's creator's latest is a joyous and surreal take on match-three destruction.

Adult Swim's record as a publisher includes Robot Unicorn Attack, a browser and later iOS Canabalt-alike featuring a rainbow unicorn running to Erasure's Always. We'd recommend it. It's hard to ignore the cable TV channel's chosen videogame projects and Monsters Ate My Condo, developed by PikPok of Flick Kick Football fame, is another reason why.
