EA's fitness sequel to use gesture controls to deliver a 'seamless workout experience'.
EA today have announced that the sequel to Wii fitness title EA Sports Active will support Kinect controls on Xbox 360.
In a press release, Andrew Wilson, senior vice president of worldwide development at EA Sports, stated: "Delivering EA Sports Active 2 on Kinect for Xbox 360 is a natural fit for fitness and the ability to track full body movement will create a fluid workout experience that delivers real results".

In the short demo shown by LucasArts, the player character in the as yet unamed title used their lightsabre to bounce back waves of stormtrooper blaster fire. Other force powers appeared to be activated by gestures of the player's free hand. The demo ended on the promise of a lightsabre duel - though how such a mechanic will work is unclear.
Turn 10 Studios shows off new game utilising Microsoft's controller free technology.
On stage at Microsoft's E3 press conference, Turn 10 demonstrated a new Forza title in which the players steer with their hands as if they were holding the wheel, and which also contained a mode allowing car enthusiasts to walk around and inspect their chosen vehicle.
The new title is due out sometime in 2011.

Xbox chief Don Mattrick has announced the long-rumoured slimmed down version of the Xbox 360.
“Sleeker, smaller and whisper quiet,” he said that it will come with a 250GB hard drive, in-built 802.11n wi-fi and cost $299, the same as the existing high end model. The Elite Xbox 360 will drop by $50 to $249 and the Arcade by the same amount to $149.
Microsoft has announced that its Xbox 360 motion control camera, recently named Kinect, will release in the US on November 4, 2010.
The company said that there will be a broad range of 15 software titles available at launch. Six of them were named earlier.
No European release date has been announced.

Microsoft has signed an exclusive deal with sports broadcaster ESPN to bring free content to Xbox 360 users.
Over 3,500 live events will be viewable on Microsoft’s console in the first year of the deal, many in HD, ESPN said on stage at Microsoft’s E3 press conference.
On demand events, replays and sporting statistics will also be available.
Real time audience polls and quizzes were mentioned as ways that ESPN on Xbox 360 will deepen the viewing experience.
Microsoft Game Studios will publish a new Xbox 360 exclusive title from Crysis developer Crytek.
A brief debut trailer for the game, titled Codename Kingdoms, showed off a gladiatorial warrior, suggesting it’ll be a swords and sandals epic.
It was aired at the platform holder’s E3 press conference, where Microsoft Game Studios boss Phil Spencer referred to Crytek as the firm’s “newest partner”.

Xbox chief Don Mattrick has announced a multi-year deal between Microsoft and Activision that will see all Call Of Duty add-ons debut first on Xbox 360.
The deal begins with the release of Call Of Duty: Black Ops this November.
"First on Xbox in 2010, 2011 and 2012," Mattrick said. "For Call Of Duty in the next three years, you want to play it on Xbox 360."

Global revenues generated from free-to-play and micotransaction-based titles are expected to more than double over the next five years to $7 billion.
