On demand film and TV streaming service Blinkbox is now available on PS3.
Launched in April 2008, the service plays home to over 5,000 movies and TV shows from content partners including Warner Bros, Universal, Paramount, 20th Century Fox, Sony Pictures, BBC Worldwide and Aardman.

EA Sports has announced that an “online pass” will be required to play its new Xbox 360 and PS3 games online going forward.

Nintendo president Satoru Iwata has admitted that a decline in DS hardware sales in Europe show the platform is in urgent need of a "big hit" title.

LucasArts president Darrell Rodriguez has resigned his position, along with several members of his executive team.
Rodriguez - formerly COO of EA Los Angeles – had headed up Lucasfilm’s interactive game entertainment division since April 2008.
His departure will not impact the firm’s development teams, nor its publishing business outside of the top executives, according to Kotaku.
Capcom has reported “sluggish financial results” for the financial year ended March 31, 2010.
Net sales decreased 27.3 per cent to 66,837 million yen ($725m / £494.4m), while profit dived 73.1 per cent to 2,167 million yen ($23.5m / £16m).

Activision has posted impressive results for its first financial quarter ended March 31, 2010.
The publisher’s net earnings doubled year-on-year, from $189 million (£129m) to $381 million (£260m), while revenue leapt 33 per cent to $1.3 billion (£886m).
