The rotating octopus character may not have his own name, but he comes to you bearing some impeccable indie credentials instead. Dakko Dakko’s PSP mini has been created by ex-PixelJunk designer Rhodri Broadbent, and it’s decked out with Army of Trolls artwork and challenge mode target times provided by a founding member of the Media Molecule team. As a result, the game’s so rife with quirk and personality that it even apologises for the mandatory quick save text that appears each time you load it up.
OnLive has announced the OnLive Player App, which will enable streaming play of "virtually all" OnLive games on iPad and Android tablets. Due for launch in Autumn, it will support both touch control and OnLive's new Universal Motion Controller. The app overlays virtual buttons over the screen if the controller isn't used - a demo at E3 of From Dust uses virtual controls that have been designed by its developers. It also supports multiplayer voice chat.
Nintendo has unveiled its new console, Wii U, which president Satoru Iwata has hailed as "a new structure for home entertainment."
On stage at Nintendo's E3 press conference in Los Angeles, the new controller was revealed. It features a 6.2 inch touchscreen, and play can be stopped when someone else wants to take over the television, and resumed on the controller screen. It also has two analogue sticks, face and shoulder buttons, accelerometers, a gyroscope, front-facing camera and rumble.

After helping to launch the PlayStation in 1996, Harrison went on to become president of Sony Computer Entertainment’s Worldwide Studios in 2005.
