THIS IS THE TIP OF THE TIP OF A HUGE ICEBERG. Big Bucks, Big Pharma pulls back the curtain on the multi-billion dollar pharmaceutical industry to expose the insidious ways that illness is used, manipulated, and in some instances created, for capital gain. Focusing on the industry's marketing practices, media scholars and health professionals help viewers understand the ways in which Direct-To-Consumer pharmaceutical advertising glamorizes and normalizes the use of prescription medication, and works in tandem with promotion to doctors. Combined, these industry practices shape how both patients and doctors understand and relate to disease and treatment. Ultimately, Big Bucks, Big Pharma challenges us to ask important questions about the consequences of relying on a for-profit industry for our health and well-being.

This documentary profiles the Obama campaign's massive youth movement and Obama's 27-year-old speechwriter Jon Favreau. What made the Obama speeches so appealing to young people? And why does the Millennial generation born after 1981, and now coming of age as voters, seem the perfect generation for Obamas message of hope and optimism? What impact did the campaign rhetoric have on the Millennials and is Obamas young speechwriter Jon Favreau the voice of this new generation? Young campaign volunteers in Virginia and Obama's national student leader in Washington DC explain how the Obama speeches inspired them to join the movement. There are also interviews with Jon Favreau's former college professors. Who is Jon Favreau? What shaped his political views? And how much of the speeches that gave words to the hope, aspirations and energy of a new generation is Jon, and how much is Obama?

The RESTful architectural style [1], with its URL addressable, resource oriented approach allows you to define Web services which can have multiple runtime representation in a variety of different media types. You define a Web resource, encapsulating the desired functionality within a business method, accessible via a URI over the HTTP protocol and its different “verbs”: GET, POST, PUT, DELETE [2]. The transferred content may be either HTML, XML, binary data or images, which, depending on the business use case often require to be embedded within the same message.

The SDW, which was built using Jaspersoft and is today deployed in support of more than 8 million customers, reduces the time required to research and respond to issues and decreases costs associated with ad hoc information requests. Since the initial implementation of the SDW for voicemail, BT has expanded its deployment to include analytics for the BT Text and Managed SMS services. This expanded deployment has yielded the significant benefits of providing a "one stop shop" for messaging analytics and has simplified the provision of this information within BT.

You might be thinking, pfft, I'm never going to need to use Binary Serialization...that's old school. And you might be right, but think about this: Azure Storage charges you by how much you're storing and some aspects of Azure also charge you based on the bandwidth consumed. Do you want to store/transmit a big-ass bloated pile of XML or do you want to store/transmit a condensed binary serialization of your object graph?

The film consists primarily of slow motion and time-lapse photography of cities and many natural landscapes across the United States. The visual tone poem contains neither dialogue nor a vocalized narration: its tone is set by the juxtaposition of images and music. In the Hopi language, the word Koyaanisqatsi means crazy life, life in turmoil, life out of balance, life disintegrating, a state of life that calls for another way of living, and the film implies that modern humanity is living in such a way.
