While I was on the fairway during my golf round, I initiated a discussion with my corporate buddies on DevOps and it all started this way: Is the old wine in the new bottle? Not surprisingly, for decades, the IT industry talk has revolved around Speed, Cost and Quality and does not vary for DevOps outcomes either - Faster, Agile and Better; FAB Way!. In my perspective and in addition to the above, Collaboration, Behavioral aspects, process maturity levels, building infrastructure, CX are some more components which needs detailed attention too. 2015 - A year with DevOps-buzz which created a lot of interest and towards the year end it went ‘beyond buzz’. Many System Integrators (SIs) scheduled day long events, organized evangelization with their Org and to their customers. Some SIs was cautious on their moves and some took big steps. Few bundled DevOps as a part of their transformation deals into DevOps win!

In the previous blog I did a high-level overview of Angular 2 router and wrote a basic routing application that demonstrated displaying different components in a predefined area of the window. We often need not only display a component, but also pass some data to it. For example, if we navigate from the Home to the Product Detail route we need to pass the product ID to the destination route. Angular offers a directive RouteParams so a route can receive data from the parent component. There is also a RouteData directive that can be used to pass additional data to a route from the @RouteConfig section. I’ll illustrate the use of both directives by modifying the app from the previous blog.
Most people haven’t heard the word, “gamification,” even though they probably, and perhaps unwittingly, participate in it every day. Gamification is “the process of adding games or game-like elements to something (as a task) so as to encourage participation.” Further, gamification is about bringing game mechanics – rules, constructs, processes, and methods – into the real world in an effort to engage people. All eyes appeared to be on the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) 2016 in Las Vegas since last week, as more than 3,600 companies unveiled the IoT and IIoT innovations we can all expect to see in the coming year. This year's CES showcased plans to make the car a complete mobile office-with technology in place to allow Skype calls and the use of Microsoft 365 from the car. The other hot theme at CES was drones - not a surprise since these unmanned crafts have pulled us in like a tracker-beam to the mother ship. The autonomous ‘copter drone was one of the most impressive releases with the reality that the businessman of tomorrow doesn't need a private jet, just a ‘copter drone and a smart phone.
